Medical Assistance Dogs

A medical assistance dog can significantly enhance the quality of life for its human companion. At Complice Canin, we train medical assistance dogs tailored to the specific needs of each beneficiary.

At Complice Canin, we specialize in training medical assistance dogs tailored to the specific needs of each individual. Our dogs are trained using positive methods, based on scientifically recognized approaches, to develop autonomous, balanced companions who are in tune with their human’s emotions. These dogs think, take initiative, and provide the most suitable behaviors for each situation. They love to work and are motivated to give their best.

Our specialties include:

  • Psychiatric disorders and PTSD
  • Diabetes
  • Epilepsy
  • Physical disabilities affecting mobility
  • Autism

A Carefully Selected Dog

To meet the specific requirements of each task, we recommend the most suitable breeds, selected from top breeders in Canada and the United States. We can also train a rescue dog or your own dog, following a thorough assessment of its potential.

Structured and Rigorous Training

Total duration: 3 to 4 months of specialized training once the dog reaches adulthood.

For puppies: They stay with their trainer from 2 to 4 months during their crucial socialization period. They then join their family and continue weekly obedience training until adulthood.

Certification: Once fully grown, around 18 months, the dogs complete their training and obtain their medical assistance dog certification.

With Complice Canin, you receive comprehensive support to welcome an assistance dog ready to transform your daily life.

Emotional Support or Therapy Dog

Un bon chien d’assistance émotionnelle est bien plus qu’un compagnon : c’est un animal pré-qualifié pour ses qualités sociales, sa confiance, et son équilibre physique, mental et émotionnel.

At Complice Canin, we prepare each dog to excel in this essential role. Through rigorous training, we equip them to handle even the most complex situations with calmness and confidence. Advanced desensitization techniques ensure that your dog will be comfortable and in control, even in the most demanding environments.
